— Ceramics
This fall, I worked exclusively with ceramics – completing three unique projects over three months.
Drawing inspiration from the temperate rainforests of Cascadia, as well as the fantastical worlds found in books like The Lord of the Rings, Grimms’ Fairy Tales, and Inkheart, I transformed raw, earthy materials into whimsical creations, weaving threads of magic from both nature and imagination into each piece.

100 Windows Into My Soul
Exploring the theme of repetition, “100 Windows into My Soul” is a representation of my inner being. The 103 stained glass windows are adorned with different swirling patterns that emanate a soft pink orange light in the dark. Individually sculpted stairs spiral around the tower, with various critters scurrying along. At the base of the tower, fungi, mosses, and decomposing leaves create a vibrant ecosystem, complete with live microbial activity. The structure itself is a 23-inch coil-built tower with a slab-rolled roof, featuring polymer clay flora and fauna, along with living moss.

Fiddlehead Tea Set
This wheel thrown teapot set includes four 10 oz mugs, all sculpted and painted with fiddlehead ferns. The white stoneware was dipped in a bold green glaze. The teapot features a gooseneck spout with a classic, arching flow.
